What we collect

• Account: name, email, phone, role (customer/detailer), and password (stored hashed by our auth provider).
• Location: with your permission, your device location and/or an address you enter, used to match you with nearby Detailers. We minimize precision where we can (a coarse area is used until you choose to share an exact address).
• Job content: services requested, notes, budget band, and vehicle photos you upload.
• Detailer profile: business name, service area, menu, portfolio, and attestations you provide.
• Device: a push notification token (to send you alerts) and basic technical/log data.

How we use it

To operate the connection service: show jobs to eligible Detailers, let a Detailer accept and contact you, send notifications, display reviews, and prevent abuse.

How we share it

• With the Detailer who accepts your job: your name and phone are shared so they can reach you; your exact address is shared only after you confirm it. Detailers may use this information only to respond to your job — not to resell or for unrelated marketing.
• Service providers (sub-processors): our hosting/database/auth provider (Supabase), our push provider (Expo), and, for Detailer subscriptions only, Stripe (we never see or store card numbers).
• We do not sell your personal information. We do not process payment for the detailing service.
• We may disclose information if required by law.

Location and photos

• Approximate area may be shown on the job feed to eligible Detailers; the exact address is withheld until you share it.
• Photograph the vehicle, not bystanders, plates, or your home, where possible. Photos are limited in size and type.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or delete your account data, decline or revoke location and notification permissions, and (where applicable, e.g., CCPA) request access or deletion of your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Retention and security

We retain data while your account is active and as needed for legal/operational reasons, then delete or de-identify it. We use industry-standard safeguards (row-level security, encryption in transit). No system is perfectly secure.

Children

DetailLink is not directed to children under [13/16] and we do not knowingly collect their data.
